Features export of natural resources and raw materials of modern Russia

The article consists the date showing the development dynamics of export of natural resources and raw materials during the 20-year post-Soviet period far and close economic ties of modern Russia. It is characterised by maximum amounts of external trade in its history. There is done estimates of implications of such withdrawal on natural wealth of the country.

In the system of organization and management tools to improve environmental protection and use of natural resources (especially water resources) a key position now held by economic methods. This includes a wide range of activities: from the introduction and regulation of charges for use of natural resources to the budget transfers to the relevant needs, from the accelerated depreciation of environmentally friendly/environmental protection fixed assets to total or partial repayment of interest on the target bank loans. The role of statistics and conducted on the basis of its estimates in determining the necessary parameters of payments is extremely high.

Features of a cadastre and definition of the modern trends of improving technologies for soil protection

One of the actual tasks is to study the state of land resources and forecasting of changes in land use and impact of natural and man-made processes. Reduction of the areas and deterioration of the quality of agricultural land, unreasonable withdrawal of fertile lands, industrial pollution of soil and lack of reclamation activities, the failure of environmental control, inability to account of the state of and changes in the soils is caused by deficiencies of land policy, unsystematic economic, legal and environmental measures. Questions of cadastral registration of land plots involved in the operation are one of the most important conditions for the development of the economic mechanism of land relations and require a more detailed study.

New trends of environmental assessment of pesticides in their registration in the Russian Federation

The Russian Federation began the accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and became the participant of the global pesticide regulation process. The new approaches of pesticide ecological assessment as a part of the registration procedure have been discussed.

Use of waste water treatment in the substrates for growing potted flowering plants

The effect of water treatment sludge as the component of greenhouse growing media in combination with different types of fertilizers on growth, cultivation and decorative quality of primrose variety «Hethor mix» was studied in commercial experience. The study of plants mineral nutrition showed, that the addition of sludge to growing media allows to solve the problem of phosphorus nutrition of primrose and neutralize the acidity of the peat. The application of water treatment sludge and nitrogen and potassium fertilizers has improved productivity and biometrics parameters of plants and at the flowering phase to achieve the implementation of potential properties of investigated primrose variety «Hethor mix».

The interpretation of Vaygach Island satellite images to identify current landscape state and create a prognosis of their possible dynamics

The satellite images interpretation of Vaygach Island was done to examine the current state of its landscapes and identify among them those in which destructive processes can be activated as a result of global warming. Research objectives included the development and preparation of medium-sized (1:250 000) maps series: geomorphological structure of the island, vegetation and landscapes. Mapping was based on analysis of literature data, topographic maps and visual interpretation of multi-channel satellite images Landsat-5 in the scale of mapping.
